    Hello there, nice to see this place is still going on, just wondering, what can you tell about fidnet? AFAIK it was really popular here in Russia but I missed it mecause of my age (haha) so, just wondering.

    Fidonet is down to 3,000 or so nodes, down from the high twenty thousands in its prime. There are some active newsgroups, though - check the STATS Fido echo for a list of daily stats.
